Report on a Case of Death from Severe Internal Injuries in Which a Diseased Spleen Escaped Rupture

The body was well-nourished and 6till stiff; the chest, abdomen, and inside of the right thigh were scorched and blackened as if by gunpowder. In two places, viz., at the umbilicus and in the right thigh, the cuticle was abraded slightly. Over the left chesty midway between the cardiac and splenic regions, was a dark ring about 1^-inch in diameter, the mark left by the mouth of the rocket as it hit the body. Over the right ribs laterally, the skin of the chest was indented with black marks made by the particles of powder. Altogether the external marks of the injury were slight, and no criterion whatever
